Can I remove my Macbook Pro's optical drive and leave the space empty?
Hey guys!
Anyone know if I can remove my Macbook Pro's optical drive and leave it empty? I just replaced my hardrive with an SSD and it is sufficient enough for space. I also never, ever use my optical drive and would prefer to remove it completely and leave it empty. I hate the sound it makes when my Pro boots up and now it boots up in seconds :)
Basically I'm asking,
-Is it safe i.e. dust collecting?
-Will the wiring be fine, or will it move around a lot?
