UK cathedral to use 'Flower' video game as part of upcoming service
The Exeter Cathedral in the United Kingdom has been around for centuries, but this coming Sunday it will experience something new — a video game. During the service people will be able to play Flower — a PlayStation 3 title from Journey developer Thatgamecompany — passing the controller back and forth until the first level is finished. "The plan is that it will be played collaboratively by the congregation while the game's music will form the background for other elements of the service," writes Andy Roberston, who will be coordinating the event. He says Flower was chosen because he once watched someone play the game and found it to be an "undeniably spiritual experience." If you're in the area and interested in taking part, the service will take place this Sunday, May 13th at 7:00PM GMT.
