HTC Thunderbolt OTA update rolling out, still no sign of Android 4.0
While we know that Verizon's HTC Thunderbolt will get Android 4.0 at some point, we haven't had any indication as to when. That's set to continue today — Verizon has let us know that software version 2.11.605.19 710RD will be rolling out shortly, but it's little more than a bugfix. Beyond compatibility with Verizon's Wireless Alerting System and Cisco Any VPN functionality, the carrier is claiming improved data connectivity, device stability, and resolved issues with Yahoo Mail and incoming calls. It might not be Ice Cream Sandwich, but at least it's a sign that Verizon hasn't entirely forgotten about the Thunderbolt.
