Samsung sells 7 million Galaxy Notes, over 50 million Galaxy S and S II devices
Coming just after the international release of its Galaxy S III, Samsung has announced its latest sales figures for the Galaxy S, S II, and Note smartphones. The Galaxy S series duo has now exceeded 50 million sales worldwide, with 24 million Galaxy S and 28 million Galaxy S II handsets sold to date. Its Galaxy Note phablet also continues to do well, with worldwide sales now totaling over seven million, an increase of two million over the figures announced two months ago.
Despite increased competition from Sony and HTC, and the hype surrounding the Galaxy S III, Samsung has sold eight million Galaxy S II and two million Galaxy S phones since its previous sales announcement in February. We'll find out soon if Samsung can continue this success story with the Galaxy S III.
