Verizon FiOS speeds upgrading but Comcast is still charing more for less?

Based on that article and the buzz about it on the internet I can't help but think Comcast is going to have to compete but there really is no incentive for them to. But does anyone see them making an announcement within the next year about offering something a little better value?
Currently Comcast offers
30/6 = $72.95 though the speed isn't guaranteed and thats only powerboosted speed
50/15 = $114.95
But Verizon FiOS will now be offering
50/25 = $74.99
75/35 = $84.99
