Windows RT to cost OEMs $85 to license?
Well, now we know than Android will likely have little problem remaining palatable to OEMs due to being free (or near free, if you happening to be paying Microsoft settlement money per device). According to an Engadget article, OEMs making Windows RT tablets and convertables have been saying the license for OS is costing 80 to 90 dollars per device.
Compared to free, Windows RT is becoming an even tougher sale. There will still be many tablets running windows 8 I am sure, But it seems like Microsoft isn't going to be able to beat Android in the device price race.
