MacBook Pro Retina w/ 256GB SSD for Video Editing??
I'll be heading off to college this fall and I'm going to be purchasing a MacBook Pro, but I'm not entirely sure which one to get. I'm primarily going to be using it for HD video editing with Final Cut, browsing the web, and word processing. The retina display MBP is extremely tempting (and currently what I'm leaning towards), however I'm worried that the 256GB SSD won't be enough for video editing. I do currently own a 1 TB external hard drive that I would easily be able to hook up for extra storage. Keeping in mind I don't want to spend more than $2200, would I be better off purchasing the non retina Pro with a large HDD, or purchasing the retina Pro with the smaller SSD and using external hard drives? Thanks so much in advance for all your help! I really appreciate it!
