We've already caught a glimpse of Dell's upcoming refreshed XPS 15, but are now learning even more about the company's latest ultrabooks thanks to IT168.com. The site has published what are purportedly photos and specifications for the slimmed down XPS 15 as well as a heretofore unannounced XPS 14 model. And while the latter doesn't quite stand toe-to-toe with the XPS 15 in terms of specs, it looks to be a capable performer in its own right.
Ivy Bridge chips will power the XPS 14, which is also said to feature a hybrid 500GB HDD/ 32GB SDD drive, 8GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GT 630M GPU with 1GB of memory. Unfortunately the 1600 x 900 display isn't quite as sharp as the 1080p screen on the XPS 15, though it too is covered by Corning's Gorilla Glass. As for connectivity options, both products will include USB 3, DisplayPort, and HDMI. Dell has yet to announce any plans for the XPS 14's launch, but an arrival alongside the XPS 15 in Q2 seems logical.
