Samsung will be updating several products in its line of Galaxy Tab hardware with Android 4.0 beginning next month, according to SamMobile. Whereas the recent Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 ships with the latest version of Google's OS on board, owners of the older Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, 7.7, 8.9, and 10.1 have been stuck on Honeycomb to this point. We knew the models in question would see an upgrade, but now there's a timeframe: the updates will roll out starting in July, though SamMobile cautions that most users may not receive the new software until sometime in August. The latest and greatest Android features will certainly breathe new life into your Galaxy Tab, though with Google I/O just a week away there's no telling how the Android tablet landscape will look in the coming weeks and months. You might soon find yourself in the market for new hardware anyhow.
