WP8 first round hardware: Qualcomm MSM8960\Adreno 225
AnandTech was able to confirm that the first round of Windows Phone 8 devices will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 (dual core krait with Adreno 225 GPU).
This is the same Soc in the US version of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Obviously we need to wait until Windows Phone 8 is available to see how it performs on this chipset, however for now you can see some raw benchmark numbers on AnandTech.
