The iPhone 4S battery life still sucks.

I'm on my third iPhone 4S after having Apple replace mine twice after having terrible battery life month after month. The 4S battery life used to be a big issue when iOS 5 first came out, and seems to have been forgotten about. but I'm still pissed off about it as its still not fixed.

I love my iPhone (well I like it a lot), but the poor battery life is killing me. If I'm not in the office and out in a new town and about all day I worry about the battery dying on me before the day is out. I limit my use turn brightness down well below 50%, Bluetooth, wifi, location all off, etc - but I still find myself running out before the day is over. These last few weeks I have been from 100% charge at 8.00am to anywhere from 40-20% by lunch time, this is with only using music player for the 20 minute commute, twitter email and a few news sites throughout the morning.

I'm going to be traveling around Asia and Europe soon and have decided to purchase a cheap phone to take with me because I know I wont be able to rely on the iPhone 4S day to day, running around and site seeing, due to the poor battery life.

If this is not improved on in iOS6 or with the next iPhone, then I will have to give up on the iPhone, and go with a phone that can actually reproduce constantly the battery life figures it advertises.

I know I'm not the only one having this issue, many of my friends with iPhone 4S' complain about the same thing too. But then again I know people who use the phone more constantly than myself that say it works fine.

I'd love to know what you guys and gals think.
