Thoughts on Windows Phone 8 from a Android user...

Hey all, now i know a lot of windows phone users are getting bashed for not being about to get the update their current windows phone to windows phone 8, this is not what i'm here to talk about. I was general interested in Windows Phone 7.5, not because "Android is laggy POS" or "i can't get my Ice cream sammich", but because i was going to go on T-mobile and get the 710 on the 30 dollar T-mobile plan (currently a college student looking for work so it goes with my budget). I use to have a Galaxy Nexus on Verizon (right now i have no phone using Google Voice). When i did have a job i was able to pay the bill of course, but now i can't justify my bill especially going forward. Well, i know the introduction was unnecessary, but just wanted to give a little feedback on me as a cell phone user.

My main thoughts is why didn't Microsoft do it like Android in a way. When on my girlfriend Droid incredible 2 she searches for Google Chrome in the Play Store it doesn't show up because her app isn't compatible , she didn't have Android 4.0 at the time, i just recently rooted it to AOKP. Why didn't they just upgrade current phones and use some kind of filter. I seriously doubt a single core wouldn't have the potential to run a simple Windows Phone 8 app, maybe not a intensive game, but app i believe it can. Why are people cool with Windows 7.8? I mean if you just bought a Lumia you're stuck with that phone for 2 years, especially if you're someone like me on a budget. My main question to Windows Phone users is what makes Windows Phone 7.8 sufficient to current Lumia users and what are your thoughts on the filter i talked about. Thanks for reading.
