Thoughts on iPad vs Surface

Despite what elements MS might have "borrowed" from apple, they have not stolen any elements in the design of the hardware or the software. this is not something Google or Samsung can nod with agreement to.

it is clear as day light to me that there has been more thought put into the design of the Surface than the iPad (physically at least). the actual design of the tablet and how it has a kick stand integrated instead of selling you a dock or the cover that doubles as a touch keyboard. placing the cameras at 22 degree angel for example or the scratch resistant, thin but very sturdy materials used to build the shell of the tablet.

Google & Apple fans/users must be happy about this. All the Surface does is push apple and google to make better products than their rivals. so instead of complaining about frankly irrelevant minor things about the presentation, you should embrace the breath of fresh air that Surface offers, both in terms of hardware and software

I believe somewhere down the line, MS will start to make their own hardware, im assuming they are trying to get closer to retailers and gain some experience and of course they need to become the device that everyone wants which in itself will solve most problems.

Next year, with release of 14nm Intel chips, the x86 tablets will become thinner, lighter, faster, cooler and of course cheaper, that is when MS will officially enter the market, raise the price for W8 licenses and will become much more picky with devices that will enter the market with Windows software on them.

i think this a very clever move by Microsoft, they are not trying to match apple, they want to become better than apple.
