iCloud vs. Skydrive
It's relatively apparent that MS is trying to win in the mobile space by making it super easy for developers to code for WP8 using recycled W8 code. With this should come the idea of apps providing ubiquitous service across devices, meaning that settings/resources should be synched across tablets, phones, pc's, etc
iDevices have this functionality provided that developers take advantage of the iCloud API. Am I imagining things, or has there been talks of doing this kind of thing for MS products by exposing Skydrive storage to Windows developers? And if this is the case: does that mean that since these resources are stored in Skydrive, that an end user could actually see these resource/temp folders by opening it up using the Skydrive app? Or do these sort of folders get hidden from the end user so as not to allow any editing/deleting?
If something like this isn't in place for Windows, how exactly would a developer provide this sort of seamless experience for Windows users?
