Logitech Performance MX

Let me first say on how I got this mouse. I started with the MX5500 + revolution pack, but the battery was totally dead of the revolution (after 3 years of intense/daily use), so I mailed logitech with a picture of the mouse, and within 3 days the performance was here for me.

The mouse feels incredible, it's weight is also close to perfect, it has been a perfect performance on almost every surface (except a stupid wooden table with different heights every few inch or so).
The buttons are very well done, a back and forward option (which is don't want to lose), a thumb button which is easy to press, but putting your thumb on it won't trigger it, and of course the scroll "unlock" button which makes scrolling in large text easy. I never use the scroll bar ever again.
The only problem lies with the fact you cannot use the mouse without the receiver, and it is (miro)USB charged, but plugging in the USB charger in your computer won't make the mouse work.

Although the minuscule receiver has a long range, never gone out of the range, you do realize it can be a problem. While with day-to-day work as a programmer, designer and video/audio editor I can easily get a superb performance with the receiver a few feet away. But when playing skyrim, somehow I got a lot of mouse lag, after a month of trial and error I figured that the receiver was the problem, and had to get it next to my keyboard. This is not a real problem though because logitech gives you an extend USB cable.

The software that comes with it served me no problems, but it could be a lot more then a the basic pack it is.
Battery Life is for my experience very VERY good, I never use the off switch at the bottom, and it serves me well for at least 3 weeks before getting the 10 day notice the battery might be a little low.

Overall, a great mouse, worth the penny. Never hurts my hands (even after a 20 hours work on it in 1 row), it is easily transportable with a laptop bag and the receiver does it's work. Also it does work on every surface you can glide your mouse over. Only problem is, the microUSB port does not allow you to use the mouse without receiver.
