Sony is leading the way in the new wave of Google TV devices with the NSZ-GS7, and the company has announced that it will release the device in the UK on July 16th, and in the US on July 22nd for $199. While no price is specified for the UK, pre-orders for the set-top box begin today in both countries, so we'll find out soon enough. Sony says it also plans to bring the device to Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, and the Netherlands.

While Sony's televisions have included Google TV, this standalone device will bring Google's OS to the TV you already own. Inside is a more powerful processor and an updated operating system, and Sony's included its new take on the Google TV remote.
