Google there is a world outside America

I've been holding off on purchasing a tablet until seeing what Google would offer consumers with yesterdays reveal of the Nexus 7. My initial reaction was that for the money this was a great entrance tablet device for myself especially as I am firmly entrenched into their Ecosystem as a regular purchaser of Apps from the Play Store for my HTC One X and prior to that the HTC Hero. My phone and the Nexus 7 sharing the same processor being an added incentive as I have purchased a few of the TegraZone games.

I headed for the Nexus site to check out the full specs, features and gallery before making a purchasing decision when out of curiosity I changed the .com of the URL to .co.uk to see if there were any major differences in the device available for me to purchase as a resident of the UK.

This is when doubt entered my mind,as I scrolled down the features page I noticed the image from this post and the blurb regarding Google Magazines and Music was missing when compared with the .com site.

This now has me questioning not only my decision to place a pre-order but my entire choice of Ecosystem. With Google Magazines and Music being one of the main features of the Nexus 7 myself and the millions of other Android users who reside outside of America are not being provided with the same content as those that do.

This is not true were I to switch to Apple's Ecosystem where they treat the rest of the world in much the same manner as their American consumers, with simultaneous release dates for hardware and a good selection of content.

I have tried to contact Google myself by phone and Email in the hope of some sort of assurance that these services will eventually be made available to me thus leaving me safe in the knowledge that I can purchase a Nexus 7 with confidence and continue happily within their Ecosystem. The support operative on the phone while polite could give me no such assurance and advised me to Email the company, which I have done with no reply.

I'm reaching out here to Josh and his tribe in the hope that with their influence and contacts they may be able to provide some information regarding these issues.

I would also appreciate the thoughts of other members of this fine community who like me,live in the world outside of America.
