How much of the price for the Q has to do with U.S. manufacturing?
Of course we've all heard that the Nexus Q streamer/social sharing device is being made in the U.S.. Although I love that fact, and obviously hope it starts a trend, I am concerned about all the negative feedback on the $299 pricetag. Leo Laporte said the Q is DOA, mainly because no one listens to music socially, and the price is absolutely out of range for the competition. But what if the Q was made overseas like the Philippines or China? How different would the price be? Of course none of us know for sure, but does anyone have expertise in this area to clear up if the Q is actually a premium device, or a humble device with jacked up manufacturing costs?
