Microsoft typically uses big events to show off its new products.
Windows 8: CES (Jan 2011, we learned about ARM support), BUILD (September 2011, Metro interface, launch of dev preview)
Surface tablet: June 2012 secret event
Windows Phone 8: June 2012 event
I was wondering why we haven't seen the same sort of thing for Office.
Does Microsoft hold a big event to show off the features in the next version of Office? In fact, Microsoft has already launched Office 15 Technical Review to a limited audience in January and by most reports will be launching public beta in July. I wonder if we expect some sort of launch event. Have they typically done so in the past?
