Siri and Conversations
I fail to understand one thing in the whole iOS vs Android voice search comparison. Someone pointed previously to a techno-buffalo video on youtube which speaks of how Google voice search beats Siri by latency(time taken to get the result). Everyone's talking about it, but what happened to talks of the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT feature of Siri? Why is no body talking about its ability to "HAVE A CONVERSATION"?
Can Google Voice search have a conversation with me? Can I handsfree reply to a sms and schedule an appointment? It takes little more time, so what? Apple is just over a year into Cloud and Search stuff, it's, by no means, of the size of Google to have that fast a response.
And people who have never tried to have a conversation with Siri, try once. You will love it. And all those who are having the LSD experience with Google voice, ask it this on my behalf : "Do I need to carry an umbrella today?"
