Galaxy Nexus BANNED from sale in US (Update: off the Play Store!)

So it seems Apple managed to get the Galaxy Nexus banned in the US, and I'm sure the Galaxy S III isn't far behind. Boy, if that happens, carriers, Android users, heck, everyone is going to be pissed. I might understand if it came from an underdog, but no one likes it when the most profitable company in the world bans its competitors.
I currently own an iPhone 4S but finished my contract about 5 days ago. This kind of behavior definitely gets me looking at other options. I'm almost certainly not going to get a new iPhone after owning all previous 5, iOS is too stale and limiting. As a consumer who prefers competition on all platforms, this just plain sucks.
