We warned you at the beginning of the month, and the day is finally here: MobileMe is shutting down for good. The death of MobileMe has been in the works since the announcement of iCloud last year, and Apple has issued emails and iPhone alerts warning users of the impending shut down of the service. Today is the last chance to move your files over to iCloud and back up what can't be transferred, so if you haven't already done so, it's now or never.

Update: June has come and gone, but it looks like Apple hasn't pulled the plug just yet. The MobileMe website now says that users have "a limited time" to transition to iCloud, download photos from the Gallery, and retrieve files from iDisk. If you haven't saved your stuff yet, you better act fast. Meanwhile, MobileMe lives on another day.
