I predict that Google will clone the Metro UI style by the end of the year or early next
For the amount of new form factors coming out and in order to provide a substantially pleasant experience
there has to be a UI that scales well and Androids does not. It looks near usable with touch on screens lager than 14" or so.

In order for Android to have any chance on the tablet now and the multitude of new for factors coming out it will have to change UI. And really there is nothing else you can implement in such a scenario other than large information/blocks tiles with large easily readable text. The clone job is imminent, you heard it here first.
