Despite being launched alongside the recently-released Xperia P at MWC four months ago, Sony's SmartDock accessory won't be going on sale until Q3 this year. The SmartDock connects to your TV via HDMI and will charge your phone while allowing you to access certain apps, documents, videos, and photos using a remote control or wireless keyboard and mouse.

Sony is also touting a partnership with Blockbuster, which will facilitate streaming movies in certain markets. It's not clear why the Xperia P SmartDock will take so long to come to market, or when exactly in Q3 it will be released, but we'll make sure to update you just as soon as Sony gives us a precise date.
