Good taste dictates that like makeup, Instagram filters are to be used sparingly if at all. But when you boldly ignore these rules, the results are perhaps better than expected. Appelogen systematically added every Instagram filter to a photograph of a shady path, taking it from a fairly nondescript park scene to a jagged blot of sepia. Best of all, they've shown their work, posting eighteen images with their corresponding filters. Turns out things start to get odd after about the fifth one. The only thing we're still curious to try is varying the filter orders: how different is the finished product if you add Earlybird before Hudson?
