Pantech announces Vega S5 with 5-inch 720p LCD, LTE, and 13-megapixel camera
Pantech has announced the Vega S5 for release in South Korea this month. The phone has a 5-inch 720p IPS LCD, LTE support, a Snapdragon S4 processor, and a 13-megapixel camera. Pantech seems especially proud of the Vega S5's bezel, which it claims is the thinnest on any 4-5-inch phone. Software-wise you'll be getting what looks like a fairly heavily-skinned version of Android 4.0 that includes Smart Voice, Pantech's own Siri-style voice assistant software.
If you have the good fortune to be in Korea, you'll be able to preorder the Vega S5 from July 4 with a release coming sometime later this month. Unsurprisingly there aren't any plans for a worldwide release yet — as with previous phones like the Vega Racer 2, Pantech seems content to keep its high-end devices in its home market for now.
