We recently heard that Apple would be adding a Food and Drink category to the iOS App Store, giving developers a place for all their recipe books and restaurant directories to reside. Well, the section's just launched, and sure enough it's already populated with thousands of paid and free apps. Most of these will have come from the Lifestyle category, which previously housed this type of software. It's not a huge change, but you can think of it as a minor harbinger of what's to come — the App Store will be getting a much more drastic overhaul when iOS 6 launches later this year.
