Different versions of the Nexus
Hey. So I have been hearing lately that a lot of the carrier sold versions of the Nexus are still on 4.0.1 or 4.0.2. Can someone confirm this? That Samsung is in charge of these? If this is true, then I think this is a giant problem for Google. Google is trying to position the Nexus line as the line that gets updates the fastest and you get the latest "Google Experience," but if you can't even be sure that your version of the Nexus will get fast updates, what is the point of the Nexus brand? Sure people who read sites like the Verge will understand that you have to buy directly from Google to get it, but for the average consumer they are just going to buy it from their carrier. When do people think carrier sold/Samsung controlled Galaxy Nexus's get Jellybean?
