Forum posting tools - Can we have better ones?

Hi Verge team. Will you be adding any tools so that we are able to generate better looking content here on the forums?

It would be great to be able to produce content like this, or this, instead of producing what may as well be plain text with no ability to centre images such as above, or like this.

I understand that there have to be some differences between forum posts and featured content but like a few of the other folks over on Polygons forums I'm working on some feature style articles and would love them to look as good as the rest of The Verge content.

Also, I'm not sure why there is an Extended Entry button on the toolbar.

It doesn't appear to offer any 'jump', instead it shows the html tag above. Clearly that feature obviously makes sense for hub pages, not logical lists of topics so perhaps it would be best to nullify it? The 'embargoed post?' checkbox also seems to do nothing. Every day I publish the Polynauts article for the community and it means 6/7 days I need to log in to hit publish instead of setting it to automatically post the night before.

In closing, like many others I'd just love the opportunity to let my original content shine in a creative way (independent developer profiles aplenty incoming) and as much as I've tried to make the current toolset work for me, it just doesn't.
