Best fight stick for newcomer
After the last EVO I really wanted to give fighting games another go. I don't plan on going pro or anything but I do think it would be fun to give it a legitimate try, fight stick and all.
So I'm looking to get a hold of a fight stick for pretty cheap but I just want to make sure it isn't a complete piece and that it works with the games I'd like to use. I've heard that some fight sticks don't work with all games which seems really ridiculous considering the prices of some of these.
I intend to use it mainly for PS3 games like Tekken, SF, and KOF13 but would also like to use it on my PC as well. I imagine PC compatibility is pretty easy to come by just given the generally more open nature of the platform.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

I know that Hori is a big name with the sticks so I assume it's better but is it really that much better than the first one for someone like me? Again, I really would prefer to go as cheaply as possible. I just want to have a good time with a fighting stick without going crazy, I can't imagine paying a large sum of money will really increase that enjoyability that much. So if you can recommend something for an even better price that you don't think will inhibit my enjoyment that would be excellent.
