Just got told I can't use FaceTime on an airplane
So I'm currently on a flight that has GOGO in flight wifi and I was using FaceTime to call my brother to get an
Update on my grandmother who is on the hospital. The flight attendant asked me if I was using my phone and I responded yes, but using wifi and FaceTime. She walked away. About a minute or
Two later, she tells me I cannot have any communication with the ground and that I can't be on the phone. I said ok and hung up.
At first, I wasnt too angry but given the fact that I have been using iMessage and facebook messenger to communicate, this seems like a good example of poor judgement on the flight attendant to attempt to stop communication. She clearly doesn't that given a stable wifi connection, information can be easily shared with the world.
What does the verge think?
