Since launching Destination Maps at CTIA last year, Nokia has expanded its indoor mapping service to include more than 4,605 venues in 38 countries, and plans to integrate the feature within Nokia Maps, as well. The company announced these figures on its Conversations blog Monday, noting that the majority (2,595) of its mapped venues are within North America, followed by Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with a total of 1,778 locations. All told, Destination Maps now covers more than 235 million square meters of indoor real estate, and has expanded its reach by more than 2,000 percent since launching in March of last year.

The Finland-based company has also capitalized on its recent partnership with Microsoft, which launched its Nokia-powered Bing Venue Maps in Europe last month. Nokia says Destination Maps will "soon" be coming to Nokia Maps, as well, though the company did not offer a more specific time frame.
