Apple ordered by UK judge to publicly state that Samsung didn't copy the iPad
A judge in the UK has ordered Apple to publicly state that Samsung did not copy the iPad, Bloomberg reports. Apple must publish a statement on its website and in several British newspapers and magazines acknowledging a UK court ruling from July 9th that declared Samsung's Galaxy Tab does not infringe on Apple's iPad design — and the Cupertino-based company must leave the statement on its website for six months. In the case earlier this month, judge Colin Birss said that the Galaxy Tab does "not have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design," and remarkably, that "they are not as cool."
