Tired of reading Software Blogs

Why do all blogs nowadays seem to be centered around software development? I'm a hardware engineer who designs cell phone circuitry for a major semiconductor company. Designing FPGAs using VHDL is about as close to software as I get. I enjoy The Verge and many other blog sites on the interwebz but it seems all of them are so heavily focussed on software development, they leave hardware in the dust. Why is this? Is hardware not sexy enough for the average developer? Keep in mind, without hardware, there would be no software. Chime in, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this age old debate. Productive Monk
