90 Seconds on The Verge: Monday, July 23rd, 2012
After a pleasant summer weekend here in New York City, it's blisteringly hot again. The news cycle wasted no time heating up, either, with Canon announcing its long-awaited mirrorless camera at the stroke of midnight. The EOS M stole the show today, but there's plenty more to see here: Reuters gave us a new rumor about the next iPhone, Madfinger gave piracy the finger and made its new game free on Android, and Twitter and NBC collaborated to put a social spin on this summer's Olympics (which start this week). So grab a seat — preferably in a pool, or less than six inches away from an air conditioner — and cool off with today's 90 Seconds on The Verge.
Stories of the day:
- Canon EOS M: specs, features, release date, and price for the long-awaited mirrorless camera
- 'iPhone 5' moving to 19-pin dock connector to make room for headphone jack, Reuters reports
- 'Dead Trigger' now free on Android due to 'unbelievably high' piracy rate
- Twitter to be 'official narrator' for London Olympics under NBC deal, says WSJ
