iTunes U updates with easier note taking, search, and sharing
iTunes U received an update today, and while it's no Mountain Lion, the update brings useful tweaks of old features like note taking, search, and sharing. When the app launched in January, it included the ability to take notes on various lectures and texts. Now, the app allows you to take notes while watching a lecture, shrinking the video and opening a notepad at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't seem to work with every course or video just yet. In addition, version 1.2 also adds a search function for posts, assignments, notes, and course materials, and adds a convenient button to share courses using Twitter, Mail, and Messages. iTunes U is free, and this update is live on the iTunes App Store.
