Need to decide between the Pro or the Air
Hello,
I am hoping to start a university course majoring in Comptuer science and will be wanting to use a macbook to write up notes during lectures and code.
I already have a windows laptop that i use however it's mobility is quite a pain as it is a 15.6" laptop and weighs a ton, although it does have fairly good specs.
I am looking at the 13" base models for both the air and the pro, both costing the same ammount, and when using them at home, they will be connected up to a 23" HD monitor.
The Pros and cons for the Pro are the following for me:
+Better Processor
+Larger and upgradeable storage
+Upgradeable RAM
+More Ports
-Less Screen Real estate
-Slightly bulkier than the Air
The pros and cons for the Air are:
+More screen real estate
+Comes with a SSD
+More portable / lighter
-Less Ports
-Not upgradeable in terms of RAM and Storage
