2011 Macbook Pro 13" SSD Upgrade: How do I reinstall Mac OS X?
So I have a little extra money at the moment and am looking to upgrade my stock hard drive to a solid state drive. I have the base model early 2011 13" Macbook Pro and the only upgrade I have performed so far is bumping the RAM from 4 gigabytes to 8.
I think I know how to do the physical swap of the drives I just do not know what to do from there. I'm sure if I were to boot the computer from there not much would happen considering there is no OS on the new SSD for the computer to boot off of. My question is: how can I get Mountain Lion onto the SSD so I can proceed with transferring my info onto the new drive? I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this. Thanks!
