Parallels 6 Incompatible with OSX Mountain Lion
For all those contemplating making the move to Mountain Lion be aware that Parallels 6 is not compatible. After installing the latest OS from Apple, I was prompted with a warning stating I had incompatible software on my computer and that this software would be moved to a folder marked "Incompatible Software". To my disappointment, Parallels was located in this folder. I find it very unfortunate that the software I have purchased a year ago is no longer capable of functioning on my computer. I guess the real disappointment of it all is the fact that I was not forewarned of this incompatibility. All other software currently on my computer has no issues running on the new OS. For those wishing to continue using Parallels software with Mountain Lion you must purchase the latest version 7 of the software. I hope many of you who own Parallels 6 read this post so you do not experience the same shock and disappointment that I and many others have since upgrading to OS X 10.8.
