Internet video on Nexus 7
A little background first. I'm a longtime Apple user and I loved my 3rd gen iPad. Money stuff came up, and since I had the 64gig 4G iPad, I was able to get a pretty penny selling it. With the cash I had left over, I decided to get a Nexus 7 and dip my toes back into Android. (I say "back" in because I had a Nexus S for about a month, then went back to iPhone.)
So far, I've been really enjoying the Nx7. The only complaint I really have, though it's a big one, is how the tablet handles video on the internet.
It basically doesn't. Now that flash cannot be (legitimately) loaded in Android, many, MANY of the sites I go to for my favorite features just don't work. 90 Seconds on the Verge? Nope. Vimeo? Nope. (Though to be fair, the app does work.) Rev3? The video plays, but not in fullscreen and you can't control the scrub.
It's mind-boggling to me that the current flagship Android device has such difficulties doing such an integral part of the internet. (Especially with HTML5's rapid growth.) It really kills me that when I wake up, I can't just grab my tablet and watch some of my favorite video podcasts.
Does anyone know what the issue is?
