I'm looking for a lock screen replacement that uses different patterns to unlock directly into specific apps...
So I'm running a (Verizon) Galaxy Nexus with an AOSP-based Jelly Bean ROM and I love almost everything about it. I replaced the stock "power control" widget with Notification Toggles and the stock calendar widget with Pure Calendar (agenda) for the improved aesthetics and functionality. There is one problem (in my mind) that remains: all the functionality of the stock lock screen gets thrown away as soon as you decide to do the responsible thing and secure your phone.
Arguably, those of us who do choose to be secure are the ones who need direct access to apps like the camera or Google Now even more than those who don't have that extra step. It seems like it should be a no-brainer for a lock screen replacement to present the standard dots for pattern unlock, but allow the user to set specific patterns to unlock into specific apps. This would preserve the security but allow the speed of direct access. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found a way to do this.
I don't care if it's a custom ROM or an app, I just want one that is stable, ad-free, and not malware. I'd happily pay like $5 for something like that. I open the question to you guys: Does anyone know of such a lock screen replacement? Or does nobody even care about setting a password/pattern...?
