OS XI/10.9 feature - Folders on dock

I have always wanted to clean up my cluttered Dock, The only thing I can think of is folders, Desktop shortcuts reminds me of my Vista days. I tried dragging an app icon to another, but sadly, nothing happened. I hope that in OS XI/10.9, Such feature may exist.
