Following rumors earlier this week, we have confirmed that AT&T is slashing the price of the HTC One X from $199 to $99 this Sunday, but not permanently. A HTC PR representative confirmed the rumor, adding that the $99 price tag will only apply for a limited time as a back to school promotion.

The AT&T version of the One X got a healthy 8.6 in our review — exactly the same as the Galaxy S III and GSM Galaxy Nexus — and $99 is a compelling price for a flagship model. It's not clear how long the promotion will run for, but one thing is for sure: you'll be able to pick up the One X for $99 from AT&T stores tomorrow.
