Syncing with Google services in Mountain Lion
As a person heavily integrated with Google services, I was excited to see that Reminders and Notes would be able to sync with my Google account upon installing Mountain Lion on my Mac. However, I've run into a few roadblocks along the path of trying to sync Apple apps with Google services, so I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and how you dealt with it, and how users in general sync with Google while using Apple devices.
After setting up my Google account and checking Mail, Calendar & Reminders, Notes, and Messages to it, my Gmail synced fine and gTalk is working fine in Messages. However, after working for a little while, Calendar now pops up with this message:
Calendar can't connect to the Google account "Gmail". Enter the password for user "k------@gmail.com"
After typing in the correct password it tells me that the server responded with an error. And yet, my Mail and gTalk are still working fine. Is there something I can do to rectify this so that Calendar and Reminders will sync? And, on another note, how exactly do Notes and Reminders sync with Google? Will they both sync with Google Tasks? I'm a bit confused, since I can't try it out for myself at this point.
