Amazon Kindle Touch
Reviewed by Christopher Malone (Currently owns)
I got the Kindle Touch with Special Offers today for my birthday and here are my first impressions.
It is really comfortable to hold. It has a soft yet grippy back and it is very easy to hold one handed.
I don't really care much for the design. The grey color looks boring to me and the home button looks odd too. I would've rather not had a Kindle logo on the front of the device but I guess Amazon wanted to advertise itself.
The Kindle was surprisingly responsive however the e-ink screen caused it to appear slower than it actually was. Organizing your books into folders is not easy since you have to do it from the Kindle instead of being able to do so from your computer.
I love e-ink screens. It is like paper but better. There is little to no glare unlike paper and no backlight keeps your eyes from getting strained.
My Kindle Touch came about seventy-five percent charged, however since it is my first day of having it, I cannot say what the battery life is.
If you aren't afraid of hacking, you can get the Kindle Touch with Special Offers and remove the ads to save a few bucks, however I will not tell you how to do so.
All in all, I would recommend the Kindle Touch.
