Panasonic Memoto Este: a steam-powered visor to soothe your weary eyes
Electronics and water don't usually mix too well, but Panasonic has been infusing some of its new products with various vapors of late. Last month we saw the nanoe air-purifying CF5 TV, and now here's the Memoto Este ES-SW50 — a visor-style device that uses warm steam to soothe and moisturize the eye area. It uses a rechargeable battery that lasts for around 12 minutes, and like a massage chair you can choose between two different programs of rhythm intensity. Panasonic says it's aiming the product at the apparently growing number of women in their 20s concerned about the effect that smartphones and office equipment could be having on their eyes. If that sounds like you, you'll be able to pick one up in Japan on September 1 for ¥17,800 (about $224).
