Workaround for Galaxy Nexus infringement?
Hello, I have no computer science background or really know much about anything I am saying, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Please do not shoot me if this is ridiculous.
Could Google put all the information from the unified search thing on their own servers, so that it isn't a multiple source search? For example, instead of searching your device for your contact information, could they have that information on Google servers, so when you search for a contact it is looking in the Google server and then giving you a link to your contact? Would that work around the patent? Would Google's servers be able to handle that extra information? They already have your contacts and music in the cloud anyways. There might be some offline issues, but then maybe they could store "Google server" information locally. Again, I don't know what I'm talking about, so some feedback from someone who does would be awesome.
