Is it time for Apple to seriously target the mid price range?
Hello everyone, after looking at Apple's earning results I have put together a few bar charts to analysis whats happening. However, I would like the opinions of the Apple Core forum members on this.
Is the high-end smartphone market (Samasung S3 and iPhone 4S) beginning to saturate? The percent growth for year-ago quarter has slowed quite dramatically for the iPhone. Personally, I can't envision it getting better if things remain the same.
Given the economic situation around the world at the moment, perhaps its time Apple start to aggressively target the prepaid or/and mid market more.
I'm also curious to know how the iPhone 3S is selling around the world. I know in the US it's only sold by AT&T whilst in the UK it's sold at a reasonable mid-range price on most of the major carriers if not all.
These are my charts:
I would love to hear what you have to say on this. Thanks.
