Samsung's Galaxy Beam, one of the company's most unique handesets, is now available in the UK, albeit a little later than pre-orders had originally suggested. Previously shown off at Mobile World Congress, the Galaxy Beam is equipped with a 15-lumen projector that can be used to display HD images and video up to 50 feet wide. Aside from the obvious gimmick, the device includes a 4-inch WVGA display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and a 1GHz dual-core processor. So unless you absolutely must have a way to instantly share spreadsheets and YouTube videos with your colleagues, there is probably little reason to even consider picking this phone up. Fortunately, the Galaxy Beam can be ordered for free through Carphone Warehouse with a two-year contract from Orange and T-Mobile UK, although it isn't currently listed on either of the carriers' sites.
