So I got rid of my factory unlocked, unbranded Omnia 7 recently, just as it began to bug me for the cumulative Tango update. I did the same for my - again, unlocked - Lumia 800 about three weeks ago as soon as it came out.

Today I get a call from a friend about the update on his carrier-locked phone and what he should do about it.

Screw you, Microsoft... my gloat time for having an unlocked, unbranded device was only a bit over two weeks? Why can't you be more like Android where it takes months and months?
